RPO Recruitment’s client is looking for a Fitter to join their team in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and preferably some electrical knowledge to support maintenance and repair tasks.
Responsibilities:
Assemble, install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and equipment
Conduct routine maintenance to ensure machinery is operating efficiently
Diagnose mechanical problems and carry out repairs
Read technical diagrams and interpret specifications
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Collaborate with other team members to improve machinery performance
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
Requirements:
Trade qualification as a Fitter
Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Electrical experience is advantageous
Ability to work independently and within a team
