Job Title: Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic

Position Summary:
RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic to join our client’s team in Polokwane. As an Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of earthmoving equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, and loaders. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical background and a passion for working with heavy machinery.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on earthmoving equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Replace faulty parts and components
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic Trade Test Red Seal Certificate
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic
• Strong knowledge of earthmoving equipment and related systems
• Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment parts and components
• Ability to stand, crouch, kneel, and reach for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in tight and confined spaces as needed
