Asphalt Branch Manager – Construction Industry Full Time NEW

RPO Recruitment’s client, a leading materials and infrastructure company is seeking an experienced Asphalt Branch Manager to oversee full operational, technical, and commercial performance of its production facility in Bloemfontein.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day plant operations to ensure efficient, high-quality asphalt production
• Drive continuous improvement of production systems, processes, and operational policies
• Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance programmes to maximise plant uptime
• Ensure effective spares control, inventory management, and logistics coordination
• Plan production in line with sales forecasts and customer demand
• Support budgeting, cost control, and operational performance tracking
• Manage dispatch and delivery logistics to ensure on-time product supply
• Lead, develop, and mentor production, maintenance, and logistics teams
• Promote a strong safety, quality, and performance-driven culture
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and service levels

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• Additional business or operations management qualification advantageous
• 8–10 years’ manufacturing/production experience, with at least 3 years in a management role
• Strong background in plant operations and mechanical maintenance
• Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, and production planning
• Solid understanding of asphalt plant operations and manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of QA/QC systems, maintenance planning, and HSE standards
• Strong leadership and team management capability
• Computer literate (MS Office) with exposure to operational systems
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport
• Willingness to relocate on short notice
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Hands-on, proactive leadership style with ability to perform under pressure

Benefits:

Salary:  R550K – R650K CTC per annum
