Senior QS – Construction Industry Contract

RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established Building & Civil Contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Cape Town team on one of their latest projects as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage project budgets and cost reports.
• Monitor project costs and ensure effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare interim valuations, payment certificates and final accounts.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, adjudication, appointments and payment certificates.
• Price and manage variation orders and contract claims.
• Assist with forecasting, cash flow projections and commercial reporting.
• Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and clients.
• Ensure commercial compliance with contract requirements and company procedures.

Requirements:

• National Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 10 years’ Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of project cost control, commercial management and subcontractor administration.
• Experience with valuations, variation orders, payment certificates and final accounts.
• Valid driver’s licence (essential).
• Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
