Customer Service Agent (JBA) – Cape Town Full Time

RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a dedicated Customer Service Agent to join our client’s dynamic team in Ottery, Cape Town. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with strong communication skills and a background in customer-facing roles to contribute to a thriving and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Capture and process customer sales orders accurately and efficiently
• Respond to customer inquiries, handle feedback, and resolve complaints professionally
• Provide regular updates to customers regarding order status and delivery timelines
• Track and monitor outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery
• Communicate with freight forwarders to request shipping estimates and book shipments
• Prepare and manage export documentation, including SAD500 and commercial invoices
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Incoterms and apply them appropriately during shipping processes
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction and timely order fulfillment

Requirements:

• Matric certificate (minimum); tertiary qualification in a relevant field is advantageous
• Proven experience in a customer service, logistics, or export administration role
• Strong understanding of the export process and related documentation
• Experience with SAD500, freight forwarding communications, and Incoterms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and other relevant systems
• Team-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving attitude
