Building Foreman – Construction Industry Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client, a reputable building contractor in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Building Site Foreman to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction professional with a strong background in both residential and commercial building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards
• Manage site labour, subcontractors, suppliers, and plant resources
• Monitor construction progress against project programmes and identify potential delays
• Ensure work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and company standards
• Conduct quality control inspections and manage snagging processes
• Coordinate material deliveries and site logistics
• Attend site meetings and provide progress updates to project management
• Enforce health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
• Assist with planning and scheduling of construction activities
• Resolve site-related issues and ensure efficient project execution

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Building Site Foreman
• Relevant qualification (National Diploma in Building or similar)
• Proven experience on commercial and residential building projects
• Strong knowledge of building construction methods, sequencing, and site operations
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience managing subcontractors and site labour teams
• Sound understanding of health and safety requirements on construction sites
• Valid driver’s licence
• Relevant construction qualification advantageous

Benefits:

Salary:  R360K – R420K CTC per annum
