Site Agent – Construction Industry Contract

RPO Recruitment’s client, a reputable building and civil contractor is seeking an experienced Site Agent to join their team on one of their latest projects in Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all day-to-day site operations.
• Coordinate subcontractors, labour, plant and material resources.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Monitor construction progress against the project programme and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
• Attend and chair site meetings.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Prepare site reports and maintain accurate project documentation.

Requirements:

• National Diploma in Building or Civil Engineering or a Degree Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Site Agent with a reputable construction contractor.
• Proven experience managing building and/or civil construction projects from inception to completion.
• Proficient in MS Project
• Valid driver’s licence (essential).
• Strong leadership, planning and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and subcontractor management abilities.
