Roads & Earthworks (Layerworks) Foreman – Construction Industry Contract

RPO Recruitment’s client, a leading contractor in South Africa is seeking an experienced Roads and Earthworks Foreman to manage workers, materials, and plant on site in Bethal. The role is for 6 months, with the possibility of extension. Site accommodation and additional allowances will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate construction teams to meet programmes and deadlines.
• Manage materials, plant, and site resources effectively.
• Ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
• Conduct setting out, levelling, and oversee construction processes.
• Apply labour legislation and manage staff performance on site.

Requirements:

• Matric with Maths / NQF4 (advantageous)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in roads and earthworks
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, plant, and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and manage site teams safely
