Water Engineer – Consulting Industry – R720K – R540K Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established and reputable civil engineering consulting firm in South Africa, is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Water Engineer to join their dynamic team in Durban as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, analyse, and manage water resource systems such as water supply, stormwater, wastewater, and irrigation systems.
  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modelling
  • Develop and evaluate design documents, including specifications, drawings, and calculations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects.
  • Ensure that projects are finished on schedule and under budget by working together with project managers, other engineers, and clients.
  • Review and approve engineering design documents, including specifications, drawings, and calculations.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to clients and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure that water resource systems are designed and installed per applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to water resources engineering.
Requirements:
  • National Diploma/BTech/BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering
  • 10-15 years’ experience in a similar capacity
  • Proven experience in water resource engineering including hydraulic and hydraulic modelling
  • Proficiency in HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS or SWMM
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D and other related software packages
  • Professional registration with ECSA advantageous
Benefits:
Salary: R540K – R720K CTC per annum, negotiable
