Third Party Logistics Manager Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client is looking for a Third Party Logistics Manager to join their team in Clayville, Gauteng. This role will involve leading the execution of Distribution Plans, ensuring that logistics processes are carried out efficiently and in alignment with the budget. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing operations, guiding owner drivers, managing external contractors, and ensuring optimal cost management within transportation services.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the execution of the Route to Market strategy and manage owner driver and third-party logistics plans.
• Collaborate with Distribution and Warehouse Managers to enhance productivity and transportation efficiency.
• Develop and implement transportation execution plans to improve driver performance and customer service levels.
• Oversee logistics control centre operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective goods movement.
• Monitor performance metrics, analyze service provider processes, and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage owner driver budgets and oversee financial allocation for transport services.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements, policies, and contracts related to logistics operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize transportation routes and reduce costs.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with carriers, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
• Conduct compliance audits and enforce safety and risk management processes for logistics operations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a B Com degree or related B Degree in Logistics, Transport, Business Management, or Finance.
• 5 to 8 years of logistics experience, with a preference for experience in owner driver management.
• Strong PC literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Knowledge of transportation and distribution planning, including the ability to lead teams and optimize logistics operations.
