Structural Engineer – Consulting Industry – R780K – R540K Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client, a reputable and well established engineering consulting firm in the Western Cape, is currently looking to hire a qualified and experienced Structural Engineer who can join their successful and growing team in Cape Town as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Completing structural analysis and design of complex structures fabricated from structural steel
  • Design of marine mining structures for ships
  • Vibration design of structures, natural frequency and harmonic response analysis
  • Design of land-based mining structures
  • FEA in Strand7
  • VBA and API integration with Strand7
Requirements:
  • BSc/BEng degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in the mineral mining and processing sector
  • Passionate about the design of steel structures and finite element analysis
  • Proficiency in Strand7 and other related software
  • Structural steel and connection design experience and/or experience in civils (foundations, walls, retaining walls)
  • Must have exceptional problem-solving skills as well as multi-disciplinary skills related to engineering
  • Highly organised and self-motivated
 
Benefits:
Salary: R540K – R780K CTC per annum
