Structural Engineer – Consulting Industry Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established engineering consulting firm in Cape Town is seeking a young, dynamic Structural Engineer to join their team and bring both energy and experience to a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to the structural design of diverse projects
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Ensure compliance with South African design codes and standards
• Engage with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

• BSc/BEng degree in Civil Engineering
• At least 8-10 years’ proven structural design experience across a variety of developments, including residential buildings, office blocks, industrial buildings, data centres, retail centres, motor dealerships, and civil infrastructure projects
• Candidate or Professional registration with ECSA
• Proficiency in relevant software such as Prokon, AutoCAD, ETABS, Revit, and MS Office
• Strong understanding of local design codes, regulations, and industry best practices
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
