Structural Engineer – Consulting Industry Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client, a top engineering consulting firm in South Africa, is currently searching for a committed and hardworking Structural Engineer who can join their structural engineering department in Pretoria as soon as possible.  

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for design of civil-structural infrastructure
• Produce and deliver associated reports and engineering drawings
• Manage project phases, deliverable timelines, and project performance
• Supervise and to co-ordinate the activities of the various resources involved in design and production
• Actively involved in contract administration and client liaison

Requirements:

• BSc/BEng degree in Civil Engineering
• At least 10 years’ technical and practical experience in the field of civil/structural engineering (water retaining structures design experience advantageous)
• Professional registration with ECSA essential
• Have technical and practical engineering skills in the structural and civil engineering design of public, private and industrial infrastructure
• Have working knowledge of 3D CAD/Modelling and FEM analysis software (Working knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk Revit advantageous)
• A well-developed understanding of all the related engineering disciplines involved in the design of public, private and industrial infrastructure projects
• Have an excellent command of English
• Have excellent communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to build and retain healthy relationships with others
• Be able to identify, analyse, and design solutions to engineering problems
• Collaborator with appreciation and aptitude for business expansion
