Job Title: Stores Supervisor

Location: Modderfontein, South Africa

RPO Recruitment’s client, in the Industrial Equipment Supplier, are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Stores Supervisor to join their team at our Modderfontein location. The ideal candidate will have a background in industrial equipment supply and a proven track record in managing inventory and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the stores, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products
• Manage and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained at all times
• Supervise a team of storekeepers and warehouse staff, providing guidance and support as needed
• Monitor and update inventory management systems to accurately track stock levels and movement
• Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
• Coordinate with purchasing and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products
• Implement and enforce health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Prepare and maintain reports on store activities, including inventory levels, stock movements, and department performance

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a stores or warehouse supervisory role
• Proven track record in managing inventory and warehouse operations
• Knowledge of industrial equipment and materials
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Proficiency in inventory management software and systems
• Valid driver’s license
