Shaft Engineer Full Time

Job Title: Shaft Engineer – Mining Industry

Location: Mpumalanga

RPO Recruitment’s client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Shaft Engineer to join their mining operations in Mpumalanga. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mining operations, particularly in the shaft sinking and development process.

Responsibilities:

• Complying with engineering legal requirements (MHSA 2.13.1 / 2.13.3.1 appointment)
• Optimizing equipment requirements, overhauls and maintenance to ensure availability and reliability of equipment.
• Continuous improvement of productivity and reliability
• Complying with and enforce Health, Environment and Safety rules and procedures.
• Ensure effective and accurate reporting.
• The ability to lead others by setting direction and building alignment.

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• GCC Mines & Works
• Minimum of 7 years experience in underground mining operations both Production and Production Services.
• Strong knowledge of shaft sinking and development processes.
• Proficiency in mining software and technology.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
