RPO Recruitment’s client is looking for a Senior Tax Administrator to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in income tax, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage a diverse portfolio of clients.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and complete income tax returns and provisional tax computations across all tax types
Perform tax computations including Capital Gains Tax
Maintain tax records and submissions on SARS e-filing
Manage a portfolio of clients with varied tax needs
Ensure compliance in tax and payroll including objections, disputes, registrations, and related queries
Communicate and correspond with SARS via e-filing and attend in-person visits
Address IT14SD and verification queries, prepare reconciliations
Draft responses and gather documentation for SARS verification and audit requests (Income Tax, VAT including customs, and PAYE)
Provide technical tax opinions and conduct research
Manage Voluntary Disclosure Programme (VDP) applications
Prepare dividend tax returns
Consult and meet with clients regarding tax matters
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a tax administration role
Relevant diploma or qualification in tax or accounting
Registration as a SARS Tax Practitioner (advantageous)
Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
Experience with ProfSoft (advantageous)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
