Job Title: Senior Project Planner
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
RPO Recruitment, a reputable recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Planner to join our client’s team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and planning, with expertise in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and resources. The Senior Project Planner will work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
– Develop and maintain project schedules using project management software
– Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and issues
– Work closely with project managers to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
– Coordinate with project team members to allocate resources and track project expenses
– Provide regular updates on project status and make recommendations for adjustments as needed
– Conduct regular meetings with project team members and stakeholders to review project plans and progress
– Participate in project planning and strategy sessions to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, or related field
– Proven experience as a project planner or project manager
– Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Certification in project management (e.g. PMP) is a plus
