Senior Project Manager Full Time

A leading Project Management firm in SA is currently looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager in their Cape Town office as soon as possible.

As our project manager, your job will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organization and timeline. 

Project Manager responsibilities include developing detailed project plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation and delivering every project on time within budget and scope. 

Responsibilities

• Develop a detailed project plan to track the progress 
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs 
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques 
• Report and escalate to management as needed 
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders 
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks 
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Requirements:

• BSc/BTech in Construction/Project Management or similar
• Over 15 years’ extensive experience in leading building and development projects ranging from R5 million to R500 million in value
• Ability to lead the process and communicate well with the client, select professional teams, assess and inform the procurement process, work with town planners, specialist consultants, local authorities, design team, etc.
• Good understanding of tender documentation, coordinating a consortium team and assisting with developing the bid documentation, etc.
