Senior Civil Site Agent/Contracts Manager – Construction Industry – R1,4M – R900K Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established civil contractor with various successfully completed projects across SA, is currently seeking to employ an experienced Senior Civil Site Agent/Contracts Manager who can plan, direct, and coordinate all operations on a civil site. 

Responsibilities:

• Management of production schedule and corrective action should delays occur
• Plan, delegate and organize the daily work program, giving guidance, exercising control over all aspects of the work of subordinates and sub-contractors
• Hold internal weekly planning meeting with entire site management team
• Co-ordinate and manage all resources such as staff, plant and materials to meet daily production schedule
• Manage production targets as per approved allowable
• Appoint and manage sub-contractors
• Plan, order and control material, plant and equipment required for the works
• Measure of works completed for payment certificates and compile payment certificates for approval from Engineer/Employers Agent
• Keep accurate records of back-up documents that substantiate approved certificates
• Cost control – daily and weekly cost management as per pre-plan allowable and submission of monthly cost reports
• Lead regular site meetings – health and safety meetings, IR meetings etc. as well as required meetings with various technical experts like surveyors
• Manage and update required site administrative duties
• Maintain high level of safety and adherence to all safety policies and procedures of Ruwacon as well as site specific policies and procedures as stipulated in the Client’s OHS specifications
• Ensure that quality standards / ISO standards are met and the necessary policies and procedures are implemented
• Ensure the timeous completion of the contract on a cost-efficient and profitable basis
• Liaise with Client and Engineer/ Employers Agent as required on site
• Attend all meetings and prepare reports as required by Client and Engineer/Employers Agent

Requirements:

• National Diploma/BTech/BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering
• Over 10 years’ extensive experience in civil works, roads, stormwater, earthworks, etc.
• Experience working on processing plants beneficial
• CCS Candy Certification and proficiency required
• Pr CM registration with SACPCMP highly advantageous

Benefits:

Salary: R900K – R1,4M CTC per annum, negotiable
