Senior Buyer – Industrial Industry – R550K – R400K Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client in the industrial industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Senior Buyer to join their team in the Gauteng.

Responsibilities:

• Run MRP, process requisitions, maintain price list and system prices, vendor list, check consumable stock levels and re-order point items.
• Loading, confirming, and distributing (local and overseas) orders, expedite own orders.
• Manage consumable consignment stock with suppliers.
• Manage and identify critical suppliers and having regular meetings.
• Attend production meetings and Supplier follow up meetings where required (keeping records).
• Identify new BEE suppliers and evaluation of existing suppliers.
• Negotiate commercial aspects such as, price, quality, service, lead time, payment terms and non-conformances.
• Checking price increases and verify justification from suppliers, monthly PPV and cost roll up to maintain system cost.
• Initiate or support any value engineering exercise to save time or money.
• Maintain the ECN file and updated drawings to suppliers.
• Understand and Appling SHEQ management, associated procedures and legislation.
• To be available for special tasks/exercise required from time to time by the Purchasing Manager or management.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Purchasing Management.
• Grade 12.
• 5 years senior experience in Purchasing.
