Senior Building Foreman – Construction Industry Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client, a reputable building contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Building Foreman to join their team on building projects in Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities
• Manage subcontractors and labour teams to ensure productivity and quality workmanship
• Ensure work is completed according to programme and project specifications
• Monitor health and safety compliance on site
• Conduct site inspections and maintain quality standards
• Liaise with Site Agents, Project Managers, consultants, and suppliers
• Assist with planning, scheduling, and resolving on-site challenges

Requirements:

• National Diploma in Building or similar qualifications
• Extensive experience working as a Senior Foreman on building projects
• Proven experience on multi-storey residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments
• Strong ability to manage site labour, subcontractors, and daily construction activities
• Solid understanding of building methods, finishes, quality control, and site safety
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and programmes
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Must be based in the Western Cape with knowledge of local contractors and suppliers
