Job Title: SAICA Trainee Accountant
Location: Cape Town
Job Type: Full-time, Trainee Accountant
Responsibilities:
1. Completing SAICA Articles training program under the guidance of experienced Chartered Accountants.
2. Assisting with the preparation of financial statements, management accounts, and tax returns.
3. Conducting audits and assurance engagements in compliance with auditing standards.
4. Participating in client meetings and liaising with clients on financial matters.
5. Developing a strong understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and auditing procedures.
6. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
7. Working collaboratively with team members to deliver high-quality service to clients.
8. Actively pursuing the completion of the SAICA qualification requirements.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
2. Strong academic record with a minimum of 65% aggregate for all subjects.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
7. Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
8. Previous experience in accounting or finance is an advantage but not required.
