Procurement Clerk / Buyer – Construction Full Time

RPO Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Clerk / Buyer to join our client’s team in the construction industry. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing materials and supplies essential for various construction projects. Your expertise will contribute to the efficiency and success of the projects, ensuring timely procurement and optimal inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery time.
• Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and trends in construction materials.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to secure the best deals.
• Coordinate with project managers to determine purchasing needs and establish timelines for delivery.
• Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier interactions, and inventory status.
• Resolve issues with suppliers regarding quality, pricing, and delivery discrepancies.
• Assist in evaluating supplier performance and making recommendations for improvement.
• Stay informed about industry developments and new products related to construction.

• Proven experience as a Procurement Clerk or Buyer in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials and equipment.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Proficient in using procurement software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A relevant degree or diploma in Procurement, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
