Operations Controller – Cape Town Full Time

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor daily operational activities to ensure smooth workflows.
• Track, document, and report on operational performance metrics.
• Liaise with various departments to ensure efficient resource allocation.
• Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks, ensuring timely delivery of objectives.
• Maintain compliance with safety and operational policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to optimize service delivery.
• Prepare detailed reports on operational issues and recommend improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in Operations Management or a related field is an advantage.
• Candidate must handle both Air & Sea – Imports & Exports
• Registering Files in the Freight software system
• Co-ordinating delivery planning
• Familiarity with the software used in the Freight Industry (bonus if they have shipshape knowledge)
• Invoicing in the Freight software system
• Knowledge on Tariffs / Incoterms / Rates / Documentation
• Own Vehicle
• + 10 Years years of experience in role or similar role
