Mechanic Jobs in the Netherlands – R1.1Mil – R880K Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client is urgently seeking the expertise of South African Mechanics to work in Meppel, Netherlands. Please note that visa and sponsorship assistance will be provided. The successful candidates will resolve malfunctions and perform maintenance and (limited) construction work in the mechanical field, ensuring that assignments are completed on time, according to required specifications, and that applicable safety regulations are adhered to.

Responsibilities:

• Inspected installations/machines/systems (maintenance)
• Assess the condition based on inspection lists
• Identify and correct (potential) issues, if possible
• Report findings to the supervisor, including the nature and severity
• Perform corrective maintenance from inspections at planned times
• Recommend measures and suggestions to address issues
• Timeliness and completeness of inspections
• Completeness of reports
• Accuracy of repairs and corrections
• Effectiveness of recommended measures and suggestions
• Functional installations/machines/systems (malfunction resolution)
• Locate malfunctions and causes
• Determine whether colleagues from other fields (E/automation) should be involved
• Assess the nature and extent of malfunctions and decide if immediate repairs are necessary
• Perform emergency repairs in consultation with the supervisor and production management
• Perform larger repairs at scheduled times based on prepared assignments
• Accuracy of malfunction diagnosis
• Timely involvement of other disciplines
• Accuracy in determining the urgency of repairs (immediate or planned)
• Speed and thoroughness of malfunction resolution
• Modified and revised installations/machines
• Clarify assignment modifications to installations
• Perform modification, revision, and construction work based on work orders and using tools and machinery for metalwork, machining, and welding equipment
• Commission and test modified and new installations/machines
• Propose technical improvements to the supervisor
• Accuracy of executed assignments
• Effectiveness and usefulness of improvement suggestions
• Available materials (measuring) equipment and tools
• Inform the supervisor of inventory changes
• Identify and report potential shortages
• Perform mandatory inspections
• Accuracy and timeliness of information
• Correctness of inspections
• Recorded data/information
• Sketch modifications to installations on technical documentation
• Record time spent and material usage
• Accuracy of sketches
• Correctness and timeliness of time and material usage recording
• Comply with safety, environmental, and quality guidelines and instructions
• Keep the workplace/environment clean and orderly
• Address colleagues and contractors regarding safe working behavior
• Compliance with regulations
• Cleanliness and orderliness of the work environment

Requirements:

• Matric / N4
• Mechanical Trade Test
• N1 – N6 highly advantageous
• South African Drivers’ License
• Fluent in the Afrikaans language essential and mandatory
• Completed 3 year apprenticeship
• Able to Read technical drawings
• Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics
• Experience Turning, milling and welding
• VCA/VVI 1 (basic)
• Experience working in – dirtier, dusty, with lots of autoclaves, etc.
• Comfortable working with autoclaves which is a strong heated container used for chemical reactions and other processes using high pressures and temperatures, e.g. steam sterilization.

• Salary: €42k – €54k per annum + shift allowance (18,5%), monthly rand conversion (R86k – R73k)
