RPO Recruitment’s client is looking for a Junior Inventory Manager / Stock Controller to join their team in Tongaat, KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a new inventory bar scanning system and overseeing stock control operations.
Responsibilities:
Manage and optimize inventory levels across the facility
Implement and oversee the inventory bar scanning system
Ensure accurate stock control and timely reporting
Analyze inventory data to improve processes and reduce discrepancies
Oversee compliance with internal standards and industry regulations
Collaborate with warehouse staff and other departments
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse and inventory functions
Requirements:
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in inventory management or stock control, preferably in a manufacturing or steel packaging environment
Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is highly beneficial
Strong analytical and reporting skills
Familiarity with steel-related materials such as metal, chrome, alloy, carbon, etc.
