Junior Civil Draughtsperson/Designer – Consulting Industry Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established civil consulting engineering firm based in Pretoria is seeking to appoint a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Civil Draughtsperson / Designer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a young professional looking to develop both technical draughting and design skills within a dynamic project environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce accurate civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD (and/or Civil 3D where applicable)
• Assist engineers with basic civil design work, including roads, stormwater, and related infrastructure
• Prepare layouts, detail drawings, and as-built drawings according to project requirements
• Interpret engineering sketches and convert them into technical drawings
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards and project specifications
• Assist with revisions and updates to drawings as projects evolve
• Provide general technical support to the engineering team

Requirements:

• Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering Draughting or related field
• 0–2 years’ experience in a civil engineering draughting environment
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience will be advantageous)
• Basic understanding of civil engineering principles (roads, earthworks, stormwater)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work well in a team and take instruction from senior engineers
• Eagerness to learn and develop design capability over time
