RPO Recruitment’s client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geology Manager to join their team in the mining industry in Limpopo. The Geology Manager will be responsible for leading a team of geologists and overseeing all geological activities at our mining operations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement geological exploration programs to identify potential mining sites
• Supervise and mentor a team of geologists and other technical staff
• Conduct geological surveys, mapping, and sampling to determine the mineral potential of mining sites
• Analyze geological data and prepare accurate reports and recommendations for management
• Monitor drilling operations and interpret drilling results to guide decision-making
• Collaborate with other departments such as mining engineering and environmental management to ensure efficient and safe operations
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices in geology

Qualifications:

• BSc Honors degree in Geology or related field; Master’s degree preferred
• Registration as a “professional scientist” with the SA Council for Natural
• Scientific Professions is essential
• Membership of the Geological Society of SA is essential.
• At least 8 years of experience in geological exploration and mining operations
• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing geology teams
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in geological software and data analysis tools
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic mining environment
