GCC Engineer: Conveyor Belts and TMM – Mining Industry – R2mil – R1.5mil Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client is urgently seeking the expertise of a GCC Engineer: Conveyor Belts and TMM to be based in Limpopo. The successful candidate will be overseeing all engineering work for the effective functioning of Business Area, and ensuring the maintenance of equipment to the required standards. Responsibilities:

• Overseeing all engineering work for the effective functioning of Business Area
• Ensuring the maintenance of equipment to the required standards.
• Ensuring that operating and maintenance procedures are in place and adhered to.
• Contributing to the operational area’s performance, through the enhancement of functional best practices.
• Responsible for the achievement of operational plans and targets by focusing on the optimization
• of functions, with support from other functions.
• Put planned maintenance strategy in place and ensure implementation thereof.
• Support operational teams in the application and maintenance of the mechanization and automation machinery fleets.
• Plan and execute projects in the area of responsibility.
• Maintenance of on and off mine infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NQF Level 6)
• Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) for Mines and Works
• 4 years of relevant post-qualification engineering experience
• 3 – 5 years of experience in conveyor belt maintenance and management
• Proven expertise in installing conveyor systems from designs and overseeing related conveyor system projects
• 3 – 5 years of experience managing a TMM workshop, with in-depth knowledge of Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM)
• Strong contractor management experience
• Proficient in computer applications relevant to engineering and maintenance management
• Valid Code 08 driver’s license
