Job Description:

RPO Recruitment’s client, in the Logistics industry, are seeking a motivated and experienced Forwarding Sales Manager to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth in our forwarding division through building and maintaining relationships with clients, developing new business opportunities, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a sales strategy to achieve business objectives and targets.
• Identify and establish relationships with potential clients through networking, cold calling, and other sales techniques.
• Lead the sales team to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
• Provide pricing and freight solutions to customers based on their needs.
• Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Maintain a strong understanding of market trends and competitors to identify new business opportunities.
• Prepare and present sales reports to management on a regular basis.
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the company’s forwarding services.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the logistics industry, with a focus on forwarding services.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
• Knowledge of local and international shipping regulations and procedures.
• Valid driver’s license.
