Fitter & Turner – Food Manufacturing Full Time

RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled Fitter & Turner to join our client’s team in the food manufacturing industry. Our client is a reputable company that specializes in the production of high-quality food products. As a Fitter & Turner, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and fabrication of components for food processing and packaging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on food processing and packaging equipment
• Fabricate components for breakdowns and planned maintenance tasks
• Operate and maintain precision measuring equipment
• Setup and operate various machines, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
• Perform drilling and machining tasks
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization in the workshop
• Adhere to safety and quality standards

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Trade Certificate as a Fitter & Turner
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge and experience in operating machines such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and quality
