Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter to join our client in the packaging industry’s team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing machinery, equipment, and structural components according to blueprints and technical specifications. The Fitter will work closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure that all components are fitted properly and meet quality standards.
Responsibilities:
– Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine materials needed and layout of components
– Assemble, install, and repair machinery, equipment, and structural components using hand and power tools
– Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications
– Troubleshoot and repair any issues with machinery or equipment
– Maintain a clean and safe work environment
– Collaborate with engineers, production managers, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Requirements:
– Proven experience as a Fitter or similar role
– Minimum 5 – 7 years maintenance experience in a production environment
– Strong knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
– Proficiency with hand and power tools
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Excellent problem-solving skills
– Strong attention to detail and quality
– Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and standing for long periods
– Completed Fitter Trade Test
