Engineering Manager (Design Manager) – Port Elizabeth Full Time

RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager (Design Manager) to join our client’s innovative engineering team based in Port Elizabeth. Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of engineering projects from concept through to completion
• Manage a team of design engineers, providing mentorship and technical guidance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and procurement
• Ensure that all design activities meet project timelines, budgets, and technical requirements
• Oversee the implementation of design standards, procedures, and best practices
• Review and approve engineering drawings and specifications
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the design process and product development
• Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field)
• Proven experience in a design engineering management role
• Strong background in mechanical design and project engineering
• Proficient in CAD software and engineering analysis tools
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results
