Electrical Design Engineer/Technologist – Consulting Industry Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client, a reputable and well established multi-disciplinary consulting firm in the Western Cape is currently on the lookout for a hardworking and committed Electrical Design Engineer or Technologist for their successful team in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.  

Responsibilities:

• Compiling and preparing electrical design documentation for various building services projects (MV/LV reticulation, lighting & small power requirements, wireways for other services)
• Compiling or preparing electronic design documentation for various building services projects (CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, fire detection, PA/voice evacuation systems)
• Management and contract supervision of Building Services projects
• Report writing
• Compiling of technical specification and Bills of Quantities
• Preparing contract documentation
• Liaising with clients, staff, and other professionals from inception to handover phase

Requirements:

• BSc/BEng or BTech degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the electrical building services industry
• Proven experience working in the consulting engineering field
• Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng registration with ECSA or eligible to register professionally
• Bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
