Dispatch & Warehouse Manager Full Time

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Dispatch & Warehouse Manager within a Roofing Supply company based in Pretoria.

The successful incumbent for this position will be responsible to provide support and facilitate the timely delivery of quality finished goods to customers, the efficient and safe storage of the Company’s finished goods inventory, and the effective management of inventory using a barcoding system.

A key focus area for this position will entail effectively coordinating, managing, and monitoring packaging contractors. Efficiently plan and coordinate the scheduling of the expeditious delivery of products to customers in accordance with relevant delivery schedules as well as maintain a means to track product quality, quantity, and costs.

You will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide variety of products. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.

Responsibilities

• Strategically manage the warehouse in compliance with the company’s policies and vision
• Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
• Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
• Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
• Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
• Manage stock control and reconcile with the data storage system
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
• Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
• Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
• Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)
• Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided

Requirements:

• BCom Supply Chain Management / BEng Industrial Engineering or similar.
• 5 years of experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced Excel is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of basic supply chain principles.
• Knowledge of basic data management principles
