Construction Foreman – Construction Industry – R540K – R360K Full Time

Description:

RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established building contractor in the Western Cape, is currently seeking to employ a dedicated and hardworking Construction Foreman who can contribute positively towards the team’s projects in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.

Responsibilities:

• Site set-up and layout
• Managing and meeting project budgets and correctly accounting for billable hours
• Management of on-site staff and sub-contractors
• Ensuring occupational Health, Safety & Environment requirements are met
• On-time Procurement of materials and equipment
• Meeting project timelines and milestones

Requirements:

• National Diploma in Building or similar
• Trade Certificate in Carpentry/Plumbing/Electrical, etc.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working for a building contractor in a similar capacity
• In-depth knowledge of construction site Health, Safety & Environment requirements
• Proven track record of having managed previous construction site staff and sub-contractors
• Strong time management, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to build relationships and work with sub-contractors and other service providers
• Ability to manage costs together with a workable knowledge of procurement principles, budget indicators and an understanding of profit and losses.
• In-depth knowledge of project site dynamics, priorities, and key focus areas.
• Attention to detail
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to read and comprehend construction site architectural/engineering drawings
• Excellent finishing experience is preferred

Benefits:

Salary: R360K – R540K CTC per annum, negotiable
