Civil/Structural Engineer – Consulting Industry Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm is seeking a Civil / Structural Engineer to join its Cape Town team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer looking to gain exposure to a diverse range of industrial, infrastructure, and EPC/EPCM projects while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake civil and structural designs
• Participate in feasibility studies, basic engineering, and detailed design phases
• Perform third-party design reviews and quality assurance assessments
• Compile scopes of work, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and technical documentation
• Provide tender support, scope clarification, and contractor engagement during procurement processes
• Design civil infrastructure including: Bridges, Retaining walls, Culverts, etc.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders
• Assist with project planning, project management, and construction support activities
• Attend design reviews, technical meetings, and site inspections as required

Requirements:

• BSc or BEng Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant civil and structural engineering experience
• Experience within a consulting engineering environment preferred
• Proficiency in relevant civil and structural design software
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites when required
