Building Site Foreman – Construction Industry Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established building contractor in Cape Town is seeking an experienced and dependable Building Site Foreman to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing high-end residential projects and be capable of running sites independently from start to finish. This role requires excellent leadership, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to maintain superior quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all daily site operations for high-end residential builds.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, artisans, and labour teams.
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality, within budget, and on schedule.
• Interpret drawings, plans, and specifications accurately.
• Manage site logistics, material orders, and stock control.
• Enforce health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, compliant site.
• Conduct regular site inspections and report progress to the project manager.
• Resolve on-site issues promptly and effectively.
• Maintain strong communication with clients, architects, and consultants when required.

Requirements:

• National Diploma in Building or similar
• Minimum 5 years’ proven experience as a Building Foreman on high-end residential projects.
• Ability to run projects independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of building methods, finishes, and construction processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Benefits:

Salary:  R300K – R360K CTC per annum
