Building Maintenance Supervisor Full Time

RPO Recruitment is excited to announce an opening for a Building Maintenance Supervisor based in Cape Town. This role is essential in overseeing the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our client’s buildings and facilities. You will lead a team of maintenance technicians to ensure that all building systems operate efficiently and safely.

Your responsibilities will include coordinating maintenance activities, scheduling routine inspections, and managing repair requests. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building maintenance and the ability to effectively manage a team to deliver high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the maintenance team responsible for the upkeep of all buildings and facilities.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to building operations.
• Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, tracking expenses and resource allocation.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to enhance building longevity.
• Train and mentor team members to improve skills and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and provide reports as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in building maintenance or management are a plus.
• Proven experience in building maintenance management or a similar supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
