Allergen Production Supervisor Full Time

A suitable food manufacturing Company is looking for an experienced Supervisor: Allergen Production with three to five years of operational experience to oversee the end-to-end production of meat and value-add products while ensuring strict quality, safety, and hygiene standards. 

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the end-to-end production process, incl. trim inspection, grinding, mixing, spooling, filling, packing, wrapping, labelling of all boerewors/sausage, burgers, meatballs and value add products. 
• Develop, review and implement efficient and effective procedures and processes to optimize production. 
• Responsible for the delivery of product according to a set standard, at a reasonable cost and productivity. 
• Stock control management (stock rotation). 
• Insure product meets all customer requirements especially but not limited to product appearance, packing and labelling. 
• Oversee that hygiene standards are applied throughout all process and procedures. 
• Responsible for the application of the correct selection criteria and quality standards of labelling. 
• Ensure that all procedures are implemented in accordance with legal requirements e.g. hygiene. 
• Report all non-conformances to immediate manager and apply effective remedial action according to company procedures. 
• Supervise and control subordinate’s activities to ensure daily production targets are met. 
• Supervise time and attendance of all subordinates. 
• Ensure disciplinary procedures are applied adequately. 
• Assure stable employee relations by managing conflict and creating a positive and performing working environment. 
• Always ensure acceptable personal hygiene of all staff. 
• Always manage correct use of PPE. 
• Ensure that process and product hygiene standards are always maintained. 
• All duties are performed according to Occupational Health and Safety guidelines and procedures.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 is required. 
• 3 – 5 years’ operational experience in a manufacturing environment is required. 
• Process Management, Technical Skill, Systems Orientated, Decision Quality, Planning Skills, Knowledge of MP Environment, and Computer Literacy. 
• Applicants from outside the region must be willing and able to relocate to Cape Town/Malmesbury at their own cost. 
• Candidates must be able to commute reliably to meet operational requirements.
