RPO Recruitment’s client is seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join their manufacturing team in Pietermaritzburg. The ideal candidate will have experience in precision engineering and machining, with a strong background in toolmaking and mold making.

Responsibilities:

• Build and repair molds, jigs, and fixtures according to engineering drawings and specifications
• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision components
• Conduct measurements and inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards
• Troubleshoot and solve tooling issues to ensure production efficiency
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize tooling designs and processes

Requirements:

• Trade certificate in Toolmaking or relevant field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in toolmaking and mold making
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Strong knowledge of machining techniques and equipment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and collaboration skills
