Job Title: Structural Engineer

RPO Recruitment, a reputable recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our client’s team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and coordinating the construction of various structural projects. The Structural Engineer will work closely with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure that projects are completed successfully and meet all safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
– Analyze and design structural components and systems for buildings, bridges, and other structures
– Conduct site visits and inspections to assess structural integrity and identify potential issues
– Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports for construction projects
– Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project success
– Comply with all safety and regulatory requirements
– Provide technical expertise and guidance on structural design and construction
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
– 5+ years of experience in structural engineering
– Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP2000, or STAAD
– Strong communication and teamwork skills
– Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Cape Town
