Structural Engineer – Windhoek, Namibia – Consulting Industry Full Time

A dynamic engineering team in Windhoek, Namibia is seeking a skilled Structural/Civil Engineer to join its growing team and contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects across the residential, commercial, hospitality, and industrial sectors.

The ideal candidate will be a technically strong Structural/Civil Engineer who is confident working across both reinforced concrete and structural steel and is comfortable taking ownership of engineering deliverables.

Experience across residential, commercial, hospitality, industrial, or Green Hydrogen-related projects will be advantageous.

The successful candidate must be self-motivated, professional, and able to work independently under pressure and to tight project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and manage structural engineering designs.
• Develop structural solutions for concrete and structural steel structures.
• Assist senior engineers with the management and coordination of engineering teams.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, project managers, and other members of the professional team.
• Ensure structural designs comply with applicable industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Conduct site visits and inspections.
• Assist with resolving technical and construction-related structural issues.
• Manage multiple projects and deliverables while meeting project deadlines.
• Provide technical input and support throughout the design and construction process.

Minimum Requirements

• BSc / BEng / BTech in Structural Engineering or a related qualification.
• 3–5 years’ relevant structural engineering experience.
• Strong experience in concrete and structural steel design.
• Civil engineering experience will be advantageous.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as:
  • Prokon
  • AutoCAD
  • Revit
• Revit experience will be advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, engineering standards, and construction practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
