Structural Engineer – Consulting Industry Full Time NEW

RPO Recruitment’s client, a reputable multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm is looking for a motivated Structural Engineer to join its Johannesburg office. This opportunity is ideal for a professional with experience in structural design for commercial developments who enjoys working in a collaborative consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare structural designs and technical documentation for commercial building projects.
• Develop and coordinate structural models and drawings using Revit and Tekla.
• Work closely with architects, engineers and other project stakeholders to deliver coordinated design solutions.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical input throughout the design process.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and the wider professional team to ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Assist in resolving design challenges and contribute to the successful delivery of projects.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards and project specifications.

Requirements:

• BSc or BTech Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in structural engineering within a consulting environment.
• Proven experience in the structural design of commercial building projects.
• Proficiency in Revit and Tekla.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, design standards and industry best practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Professional and confident when attending client and project meetings.
