Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles
Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and tyre rotations
Perform inspections and testing to ensure vehicle roadworthiness and safety
Utilise diagnostic tools and software to identify faults and recommend repairs
Maintain accurate records of services and repairs performed
Provide excellent customer service, explaining repairs and recommendations clearly
Adhere to health and safety regulations and workshop standards
Follow a “Fix right first time” work culture to ensure quality and efficiency
Requirements:
Certification from a recognised automotive training institution
Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a motor technician in the automotive industry
Strong technical proficiency in vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs
Effective communication and customer service skills
Commitment to professional and ethical standards
Computer literacy for diagnostic software and record-keeping
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to collaborate effectively with service advisors and workshop team members
