Senior Structural Technician/Technologist – Consulting Industry Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established consulting engineering firm is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Technician or Technologist to join their Johannesburg team. The successful candidate will be involved in the design and technical delivery of a diverse range of structural engineering projects across industrial, commercial, infrastructure and water-related sectors.

Requirements:

• Relevant National Diploma or BTech in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Extensive experience within a structural engineering consultancy.
• Strong technical knowledge of structural detailing, design documentation and construction drawings.
• Proven experience in foundation and substructure design, heavy industrial structures, including reinforced concrete and structural steel, light industrial buildings and structures, commercial buildings incorporating concrete and steel elements, transport-related infrastructure, culverts and associated structures, municipal and service infrastructure, reservoirs and water-retaining structures, and large-scale industrial structures, including silos and cooling towers
• Proficiency in relevant structural engineering design and draughting software.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of applicable structural standards, codes and construction practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate work within project deadlines.
