Senior Metallurgy Manager – Mining Industry – R1.7Mil – R1.3Mil Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client in the Mining Industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Senior Metallurgy Manager in Limpopo.

Responsibilities:

• Management of Operations and Strategy – Management of Strategy and Operations for the Mining Division ensuring efficiency and competitive production
• Budgeting and Management of Financial Resources – planning, management, and control of financial resources as well as budgeting activities to ensure the effective use of organisational financial resources.
• Compliance to SHEQ Standard – planning and coordinating operational activities to ensure continued compliance to Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality standards (ISO).
• Governance and Management of Projects – ensuring effective Project Management
• Leading and Management of Human Resources – leading and managing the performance of subordinates and employees
• Record Management and Reporting – ensuring effective record keeping of production investigations, production records and Preparation of technical reports. Liaise with internal and external customers.
• Manage Metallurgical processes and all laboratories – Ensure proper functioning of the Metallurgical Processes and laboratories.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• BEng Degree in Processing or Extraction Metallurgy
• Honours or Master’s Degree will be advantageous
• Management Development Programme Certificate
• 10 years’ experience in metallurgy in the mining environment
• 5 years’ experience in projects and process design environment
• 5 years in a Management Position
