Senior Java Developer Full Time

A leading financial services and capital markets organisation is looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong enterprise application development expertise to design, build, and support high-performance, mission-critical systems that enable strategic business operations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and support business-critical applications aligned to IT and business strategy
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions through impact and system analysis
• Design and develop scalable applications using Java and modern frameworks
• Conduct code reviews ensuring quality, security, performance, and maintainability
• Perform unit testing and ensure solutions meet functional requirements
• Support deployment, release management, and production implementation activities
• Assist with UAT support and resolution of defects and system issues
• Ensure production stability, including DR readiness and system health checks
• Produce technical documentation to support system maintenance and knowledge transfer
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery of solutions

Requirements:

• Degree in Information Technology or related field
• 5–7 years’ experience in enterprise software development
• Strong proficiency in Java (8+), Spring Boot, Spring Security, and Spring Data
• Experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, and SAS programming
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and software design patterns
• Experience with AWS cloud services and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and Agile delivery methodologies
