Quantity Surveyor – Construction Industry Contract

RPO Recruitment’s client, a respected Building & Civil Contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their Cape Town team on one of their latest projects as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare BOQs, cost estimates and project cost reports.
• Monitor project costs and assist with cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare interim valuations, payment certificates and final accounts.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations and payment certificates.
• Price and administer variation orders and contract claims.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting and commercial reporting.
• Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and clients.
• Ensure commercial compliance with contract requirements and company procedures.

Requirements:

• National Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 5 years’ Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry.
• Experience with cost control, valuations, subcontractor administration and variation orders.
• Knowledge of payment certificates, cost reporting and final accounts.
• Valid driver’s licence (essential).
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
