Professional Civil Technologist – Consulting Industry Full Time

Our client, a highly respected civil engineering consultancy, is seeking a professionally registered Civil Engineering Technologist (Pr. Tech. Eng) to join their dynamic Johannesburg team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure projects, including municipal and provincial roads, stormwater systems, and bulk earthworks, with exposure to high-profile clients such as SANRAL.

Minimum Requirements:

• Professional Registration: Pr. Eng with ECSA.
• Experience: 3–5 years post-registration experience in civil engineering design and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of SANS/SABS 1200 and COLTO standards.
• Proficiency in any combination of Civil 3D, Model Maker, Road Maker, and AutoCAD.
• Experience with Bills of Quantity software (advantageous).
• Proven track record in roads, stormwater, sewer/water reticulation, pavements, and bulk earthworks design.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and documentation of municipal and provincial road projects (SANRAL experience highly advantageous).
• Stormwater management design, geometric and pavement design.
• Sewer and water reticulation design for urban and rural developments.
• Bulk earthworks computations and associated civil infrastructure planning.
• Preparation and review of Bills of Quantities in line with SANS/SABS 1200 and COLTO standards.
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cost-effective, high-quality solutions.
